Day 10 of Ukevember! Sway by Pablo Beltrán Ruiz
Tried a different strum on the ukulele today. It’s still in the works.
Beautiful bright moon tonight in Santa Fe, NM. Just had to share it with you.
Hold me close (in your mind), Sway me more (to the video below) 🙂
Song: Sway by Pablo Beltrán Ruiz. Chords and Lyrics.
Day 9 of Ukevember! Lullaby by Creed
Welcome to the world: Haleigha Kalani Kuhi! My new niece arrived today and I’m happy for the new parents (one of them my brother) and excited for the new journey they will be on.
Today I recorded on a trail that we’ve done a couple times. It’s also on our running route. Not today with the snow!
Song: Lullaby by Creed
Day 8 of Ukevember – The Way I Am by Ingrid Michaelson
Song: The Way I Am. Chords and Lyrics.
Today I recorded near the New Mexico State Capitol Building. The sculpture I’m in front of lists all the Indian tribes/languages that no longer exist. I couldn’t find a placard that listed artist or name of sculpture. This is only one of the four sides (I think there are hundreds of names on this sculpture).
This is a start of showing you part of our running route.
Enjoy!
Day 7 of Ukevember!!!!!!! Tracks of My Tears by Smokey Robinson
I chose to hide another song in today’s video. A person who can attest to watching Hugh Grant films will certainly guess this one. It’s really kind of hidden, so comment below if you think you’ve got it.
You might also be committing to saying that you watch romance comedies. 🙂
Behind me you’ll see a painting by Margo Leitz. Beautiful, am i right?
Song: Tracks of My Tears by Smokey Robinson. Chords and Lyrics.
Day 5 of Ukevember!!!!! Two Princes by Spin Doctors
Today’s song is about making choices, which love will you choose and why will you choose it? Today’s struggle is where to record these videos since the temperature outside is reaching “stay inside under the covers” weather. There’s a simple 4 chord song about choosing…you live, you learn, right?
Our song for the 5th of Ukevember is “Two Princes” by Spin Doctors. Chords and Lyrics.
Special kudos to people who can tell me what other tidbit of a song I squeezed in there.
Enjoy!
Day 4 of Ukevember!!!! Look for the Silver Lining by Jerome Kern
Being optimistic is today’s theme with “Look for the Silver Lining” written by Jerome Kern in the 1920’s musical Sally. Chords and Lyrics.
Today you’ll find us on Canyon Road in Santa Fe, NM. This road is lined with galleries, statues, and cafes galore. We visited someone famous who once said Santa Fe was “laid out by a drunk riding backward on a horse.” It’s true…there are no grid patterns. Driving around Santa Fe you will find there are 2 Paseo de Paraltas. It can get kind of confusing.
Can you see who we visited?
Day 3 of Ukevember!!! Faster by Matt Nathanson
Day 3 of Ukevember and still cookin’ with the modern songs. This song makes me smile. I decided to play a song in duple and with a more complicated strum.
This was recorded at Journey’s End sculpture on Museum Hill in Santa Fe, NM. When I first moved here, this was the place where I had my first nose bleed (adjusting to the dry climates that are of New Mexico). It’s both part of history and a bit sentiment *chuckle*.
Today’s song is “Faster” by Matt Nathanson. Chords and Lyrics
If you’re wondering what Ukevember is…listen in or poke around my blog.
Enjoy:)
Day 2 of Ukevember!! Hold You in My Arms by Ray LaMontagne
It’s the second post for Ukevember. This was recorded in Cornell Park, Santa Fe, NM. Some people brought their dogs out to play with them…it’s cold *brrrr* here. My fingers were freezing!
I’m playing “Hold You in My Arms” by Ray LaMontagne. Chords and Lyrics Here. He has a beautiful voice. This is a great song.
Felt like some people needed to be held in my ukulele arms today. Enjoy!
Day 1 of Ukevember! Promises by Morning Benders
Taken from our porch in Santa Fe, NM with a view of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in the background.
I’m playing “Promises” by Morning Benders.
And here are the chords and lyrics.
