I’ve always wanted to play Charlie Parker solos on a mallet instrument (marimba/vibraphone/xylophone). Well, today, I’ve challenged myself to play Au Privave from a lead sheet on an ukulele! In the video you might hear a metronome. I tell my students all the time, “Play it SLOW to get your muscle memory working, and with a metronome!”. I’m following my own advice. This recording is slow, but I would like to repost a video of me playing this at the correct tempo. Take a listen.
Top 3 Reasons to play this tune:
1. Because you love Charlie Parker (don’t know who he was? Google him)
2. Want to show off your made skills on the instrument!
3. Because you like bebop jazz.
I haven’t put the tab together, but I will as soon as I can.
